Applications for a work visa

Those wishing to apply for a work visa from countries that are signatories to the Council of Europe Social Charter (CESC) are entitled to a discount of £55. This discount applies to the following types of visas:

  • Skilled Worker visa;
  • Start-up visa;
  • Innovator visa;
  • Global Talent visa;
  • Tier 2 and Tier 5 visas.

A discount applies only to the main applicant. In other words, family members will have to pay a full fee it. It is also important to note that it is granted only to residents of those countries, that are signatories to the CESC. At present, these include the EU Member States, the European Economic Area and Turkey.

If a main applicant believes that they are entitled to this discount, they should read the CESC’s guidelines before proceeding with their application.

This additional fee will also apply to those applicants who are 18 years old at the time of their citizenship application. In this case, an additional fee of £80 will be requested when an application is accepted.
